It seems as though everyone is getting into the blog writing game. It can be a lot of fun. Many folks enjoy writing a blog about their passion or hobby. Others do it to bring attention to their business offerings. At some point you will most likely want to monetize your blog. Once you learn how to start a blog, start writing good content, and gain visitors, you will be able to make some money.
There are many ways to make money blogging. There are ads that you can sell. You can join an affiliate program and collect a commission on products you recommend and your readers purchase. Selling your own product is also a great option. You can make money blogging in just about any method you can creatively think of.
The following are but a few of the options available to a blogger for making money from their writing and content. Not all are worthwhile for every blog. If you are writing a political blog with conservative views then posting Google Adsense advertisements may not work as well as getting a commission from selling political books.
Probably the most common means of making money with your blog these days is through the Google Adsense program. If you are accepted into the program and place Adsense ads on your blog, Google will share the revenue with you for each visitor click.
So how does Adsense work? For instance, if you created a blog about golf and wrote a post about ladies golf clubs. The advertising block from Adsense would most likely show ads about ladies golf clubs, if available, and at the least golf clubs. Google allows you to share in the revenue when your visitor clicks on one of the ads in their program, or network. Once your Adsense earnings were over a hundred dollars, Google would then cut you a check for that amount.
Affiliate programs are another way that you can make money with your blog as they allow you to promote their products and receive a if your visitor purchases that item. There are numerous programs such as Shareasale, Commission Junction and in-house programs like Amazon.com that you can submit an application to. Many big name companies with large advertising budgets might buy ad space on your blog if you get a large number of visitors. You could set up an online store and sell your own goods as well.
The methods for making money from blogging are very easy to do. The difficulty is actually marketing your blog so visitors will buy the products you are offering.
Until next time,

Thanks for your comment AndrewBoldman. You are certainly allowed to link to this post but I am sorry you can not straight out copy it.
Just post an excerpt or write a short article of your own on your site with a link back to this post should do it for you.
Doing it this way you not suffer from duplicate content. Better in the long run for you.
Thanks for reading!
I really liked this post. Can I copy it to my site? Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your comment Bruno. Yes Infolinks could be a good way to monetize a blog but the thing for everyone (especially newbies) to keep in mind is that companies like Infolinks and InLinks want blogs/websites that have a large reader/user base before they will accept a site.
I average around 200 visits a day to this blog but that was not enough to get me approved with InLinks and I doubt very much I could get approved with InfoLinks either. In time I will but not yet.
I just want new marketers and bloggers to understand that while these are viable way to monetize their sites, it does take time to build a site/blog up enough to use these resources.
Another hot alternative for making money blogging is Infolinks.
In order to increase CPC earnings, adsense is never enough… It should be supplemented with intext ads which take no space on the site. I use Infolinks since they pay the best earnings in this market!
