Basically, Internet Affiliate Marketing is using your website to promote other people’s products and get paid when your visitors buy your recommended product. You start by building a website and promote affiliate products on your website, when someone purchases the product through your affiliate link, you make a commission. Everything on internet affiliate marketing is done online.

The main advantage of affiliate marketing is that you can start almost immediately with very little money. There are no goods to stock up, no order to fulfill and no customer to support. The only thing you have to do is recommend your affiliate products to your visitors and get them to click on your affiliate links.

To get started with affiliate marketing, first you must do market research and find what product you are to recommend on your website. Every time your visitors make a purchase, you make money. The commission amount you make depends on what product you are recommending. Some merchants will give you up to 75% commission for your effects.

When you join an affiliate network, you will be given an affiliate ID. This is the most important thing in affiliate marketing. All your sales data are capture by this affiliate ID. You can find out how you are doing by using this ID.

The next thing is to find a good affiliate merchant and good affiliate products. If you found a good merchant, they will give you good marketing materials and help you to get started. It’s important to always work with the good affiliate merchants.

What you can do to find a good affiliate merchant. If you love dogs, you can develop a website on dogs and promote dog related products. You may want to have dog training as one for your affiliate product. Just goes to the search engine and enter “dog training affiliate program” into the search box and press enter. The search engine will returns a bunch of dog training related affiliate programs. Just go through the different affiliate program and choose the ones you like.

There are also one stop affiliate networks which you can join and immediately have access to thousands of affiliate merchants. Here’s a few of them: CJ.com, ClickBank.net, LinkShare.com.

There is more to affiliate marketing than setting up a website and putting links into your web pages. To be successful in internet affiliate marketing, it takes some time and effort. Don’t give up if you did not see any result at first.
